Doughty Family Shoot

I had the pleasure of recently photographing a great group of kids in my studio for the holiday's.  It was great to have my studio filled with so many kids laughing a playing.  I am very grateful to have a place with plenty of space.  The kid's ages ranged from 13 all the way down to 4 years old!  Everyone was well behaved and the shoot went rather quickly.  I typically allow up to 2 hrs for shooting because you never know how kids will react to being in front of the camera and sometimes things are just going so well that I get as many different shots with different props in as I can.  On another note I am switching my print company from one that is based in CA to one here locally.  I am a big fan of supporting our local businesses and I got extremely frustrated with the outrageous amounts that company was charging for shipping my stuff "priority" and not getting it for 2 weeks!! That's unacceptable to me.  I want the very best service and quality for my clients.  So now my turnover is only a few days AND I will be helping to support another local business =) With the holiday's and New Year being just around the corner, I am reflecting on how my business did this year, changes I have made and thinking also about changes I would like to make in the upcoming year.  My 1st and foremost goal, (as it has been right along) is to continue to "pay it forward."  I would also like to expand and simplify the packages and print products that I offer my clients.  A big goal for me is to really put some time into my website as I haven't had the time to update it and it needs a major overhaul.  The possibilities for E Stanley Photography in the upcoming year are endless!  Here are some of my favorite shots from the Doughty Family shoot.
