On Top of Old Smokie! - Rockport, Maine

Okay...so it wasn't actually the smokies...BUT it was a fun time and muchly needed.  I have been very discouraged for the past few weeks.  Seems it has been one heartache right after another...both personally and business wise.  As many of you know...I am probably one of the most positive and upbeat people you will ever meet.  I always see the good in everyone and I don't hold grudges...ever.  It's just not humanly possible for me.  I have a very giving and caring heart and I love and would anything for my family, friends and even complete strangers.  I feel so incredibly fortunate in my life and I thank God every day for all that I have.  I think I got majoring burnt out...and it took a series of recent events for me to realize it.  Having my niece and nephews here yesterday and part of today made me see how much I need to take time to relax and do what I want to do.  Things can wait.  I need to take care of ME for once.  So I took the kiddies up one of my absolute favorite hiking trails here in the mid-coast.  Gorgeous views of course and some yummy blueberries that were surprisingly ripe...VERY early this year.  I got some great pictures of the kids and I thought I would share =)  One thing that hasn't changed...I still love adorable smiles and capturing them with my camera!

Creamer Family Studio Shoot - Camden, Maine

Soooo very excited!! This month marks the 1 year Anniversary of E Stanley Photography!! It's hard for me to believe that it's already been a year.  Where has the time gone?!?  I am so very proud of how far my business has come and I am so thankful to ALL my clients for your business.  I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for all of you!  This past weekend I was able to photograph a wonderful family.  I had the pleasure of photographing their two beautiful little girls back in January and they came back for a family picture and more pictures of their adorable little girls.  They've changed so much since then, especially the youngest.  She is now 6 months and just FULL of laughs and giggles =)  You can see how much her big sister loves her...she LOVES to give her lots of kisses and just loves to hold her.  Looking forward to doing her 8 month pictures as well!  Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot.

Rockland Chamber Business After Hours hosted by Maine Eastern Railroad - Rockland, ME

On Wednesday I was able to attend the Rockland Chamber's Business After Hours Meeting.  It was hosted this month by Maine Eastern Railroad.  We all were welcomed aboard the train for a quick ride to Thomaston and back while enjoying drinks and appetizers.  Then we all enjoyed the hospitality of Trackside Restaurant with more food, spirits and FUN!  Some of the members stayed later then the meeting for a round of "Name That Tune"  It was surely one of the best BAH's that I've been to thus far...very well attended.  Here are a few of my favorites from the evening.  The rest can be viewed at: http://estanleyphotography.exposuremanager.com/g/maineeasternrailroadbusinessafterhours

South School Birch Point Field Trip - Owls Head, Maine

Monday I had the pleasure of being able to attend my youngest son's 2nd grade field trip to Birch Point State Park in Owls Head.  After the long rainy weekend it was really nice to get out of the house and really enjoy the sunshine!  It was warm and sunny and as usual with spring in Maine, it was beautiful!  The kids had a blast too!  My son's amazing teacher, Mrs. Cowan had lots of fun games planned for the kids in addition to a picnic lunch.  They did a really cool scavenger hunt and found all kinds of neat creatures that made for some awesome pictures.  I was really impressed with their teacher Mrs. Cowan,  she was prepared with the games and kept them all very entertained...and ME too!  Here are some of my favorite pictures from the day.  The rest can be seen and purchased at: http://estanleyphotography.exposuremanager.com/g/birchpointfieldtrip2010
