Vintage Bridal Show - Belfast, Maine
Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing a Vintage Bridal Show to benefit St Margaret's Women's Medical Fund. I am pleased to say that the show was SOLD OUT! There were about 30 different dresses, both wedding and bridesmaid that ranged from as early as 1912 up to 2008. Nearly every decade was represented in the show. I was going to try to pick out a personal favorite...but I liked them all! There was one dress in particular that stood out to me and my taste. Turns out the dress was custom made for the bride in Belfast, Ireland for a 1953 wedding. It's made of taffeta and organza with a full-skirted coat of alencon lace. I'm half Irish so that explains why I was so drawn this beautiful dress. I had so much fun covering the show =) Prints will be available on my website for purchase and E Stanley Photography is donating 10% of all prints proceeds back to St Margaret's Women's Medical Fund. Here is a sneak peak of the show and my favorite is the first one!
