HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!! I am so thankful for so many things in my life on both a personal level and also on a business level. I feel I have been so incredibly blessed to have so many wonderful clients. I know the economy is a tough one right now and I hope that I have kept my prices reasonable enough for everyone to still get their pictures done. Good quality pictures are so important in my opinion. Yes, it is so easy for us to take pretty good pictures of our favorite moments with our camera phones and point and shoot cameras...but are we spending the time to always print those pictures out? Is the quality all that good? Are we able to edit those small things that we are embarrassed about out of our pictures? I can do that for you! If you haven't had a good photo of you and your loved ones in a while...please consider me for the job. If you have a concern and hate the way you look in pictures, please let me know, I can fix just about anything in photoshop. It is my job to make you look good =) I spend a lot of time on EACH photo making you look your very best. Yesterday I did an awesome shoot with a wonderful family in my studio! I did their family pictures last year and the boys have changed a lot over the last year. They still have the cutest smiles ever though! Mom really liked a lot of the poses I did with them last year...so we did those again and some new ones. She also mentioned how she really likes to put their photos in collages on her wall. I have been working a lot more lately on doing custom collage creations for my clients that are affordable. I decided to put a few of my favs together for this shoot as well. I did this one in an 8x10...but I can create them in any size needed. I don't charge any extra for this service, and if everyone really likes them, I am considering including them in my packages beginning with the new year. I would love to get feedback from people on what they think of them. Is it something you would order prints of if I do it? I personally think it is a great way to showcase your favorite shots for family to have without having to order a lot of prints. It also saves a lot of space on your walls for more pictures of all your favorite smiles and expressions ;) I also got my new holiday background in and was able to try it out with this shoot. I was very skeptical about it when I took it out of the box...but after shooting with it, I am SO pleased with the results!! I am excited to use it with the many shoots with Santa I have coming up in the next few weeks =) Don't forget that if you would like to book Santa and E Stanley Photography (at a very reasonable price) for your holiday event...checkout mainesanta.com! Here is the collage and all my favs from yesterday's shoot!

Maine Santa Studio Shoot - Rockport, ME
E Stanley Photography did a very exciting and unique shoot yesterday. I did a combined family shoot with a surprise visit from Santa =) I am doing work for mainesanta.com and needed some good shots for the website. My client was very generous to allow me to use pictures of Santa with her son in them. He was a little shy at first but warmed up after a little encouragement from his Mom and Santa. Quite a few of my recent clients have requested that I not do sneak peeks on facebook because a lot of their family is on facebook and the pictures are presents for Christmas. So I will have a lot of blogging and sneak peeks for you after Christmas! In the meantime, I have been given permission to show the pictures with Santa =) Here are my favorites from the shoot.

All Aboard Trolley Halloween Haunted Trolley Ride - Rockland, ME
As you know E Stanley Photography covers many different events locally and on Halloween Eve I was hired by All Aboard Trolley and Limousine Service (www.aatrolley.com) to cover a Haunted Trolley Ride hosted by Scott and Stephanie Herrick beginning at Trackside (www.tracksideme.com) in Rockland and proceeding to the Haunted Fort Knox in Prospect (www.fortknox.maineguide.com) and then back to Trackside. It was definitely probably one of the most FUN but challenging shoots I have ever done and a challenge to edit as well. I started shooting at almost dark and instead of using my flash I beefed up my camera's ISO so that I could keep a lot of the ambient lighting that was in the trolley and to give the pictures that eerie effect. I also didn't want to get a bright reflection of the flash off the outside of the trolley. Eventually it got so dark I didn't have a choice...but even with flash I am very happy with how the pictures came out. If you are looking for something fun to do next Halloween, I would highly recommend renting a trolley for you and all of your friends from All Aboard Trolley! The Halloween tunes were cranked, it was decorated absolutely fabulously and with the light show it was a mobile party machine =) Here are all the shots from the night!! Any of them can be purchased on my site at http://estanleyphotography.exposuremanager.com/g/allaboardtrolleyhauntedtrolley2010
