Dyer Family Studio Shoot - Rockland, Maine

Today I did another family shoot!  That's 3 for this weekend...not too bad =)  Now for some mad crazy editing/enhancing in order to get the print order into the company and back in plenty of time for Christmas =)  Have I mentioned how much I LOVVVVEEEE my job?!?  The family I shot today was another wonderful family that I have known for quite a while now.  I had a lot of fun as usual!  Here is a "Sneak Peak" of some of my favorite shots from today.   

Lowell Family Studio Shoot - Rockland, Maine

My second shoot today was of a wonderful family I've known for many years.  It was amazing to be shooting kiddos whom I remember when they were born!  hmmmmm I think this also makes me feel a little old too =)  Anyways...the camera loved all of them and they all loved having their pictures taken = perfect shoot.  I got a few new props for the studio today and they made good use of them =)  Thanks to both families for wonderful shoots today...I had a blast as usual.  Another family shoot tomorrow and the massive feat of getting all 3 shoots edited/enhanced by Monday!! AHHHHH!!  Print orders have to be sumitted by Tuesday to be back to me in plenty of time for Christmas.  I LOVE the print company I am using btw, they are super fast and they actually look at each photograph before they print it.  The quality is amazing and they even print "E Stanley Photography" on the back of each print!  Soooo professional =) hehehe  So here are a few of my favorites from today's shoot!  Enjoy!

Hayslip Family Studio Shoot - Rockland, Maine

Today I did a family shoot in the studio with a wonderful new family!  It's hard for me to believe, but the Mom and I graduated high school together!  I ran into her this summer in a store while she was pregnant and gave her my business card and told her to let me know when she wanted to do pictures.  She has since had a beautiful baby girl who is now 3 months old and just adorable.  She was SO good for the shoot and actually was up for multiple outfit changes as well.  She tolerated a lot of proping and posing for such a little peanut!  Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot!  Stay tuned for another "sneak peak" from the other shoot I did after =)

Ellerd Family Studio Shoot - Rockland, Maine

Today I photographed a family in my studio that I've known for quite a few years now.  It's wonderful to see how their family has grown over the years!  The two boys were absolutely adorable together and they had the most beautiful blue eyes =)  I got quite a few really wonderful shots that really capture both of their personalities.  Here are a few of my favorites! 

Rytky Family Studio Shoot - Rockland, Maine

Today I did a shoot in the studio with three adorable kiddos!  They were all very well behaved and didn't mind having their pictures done at all.  I am really enjoying doing studio shooting!  Don't get me wrong I LOVE shooting outside and using the beautiful scenery of the absolutely beautiful coast of Maine, but the more I shoot in the studio the more comfortable I get with it and I can control the lighting.  The best part...I can shoot in the studio no matter what the weather!  The studio has a room where clients are able to change outfits, check their hair in the mirror.  I have many different colored backgrounds to choose from and lots of different props as well!  Here are a few of my favorites from today's shoot =)

Caverly Family Studio Shoot - Rockland, Maine

Today I did a family shoot in the studio with a wonderful family that I've known for quite a few years now.  They were all complete naturals in front of the camera.  Not surprising considering that both their Mom and Dad are photographers!  I am sure they have had plenty of experience saying "cheese!"  To make my shoots more fun for kids I always do the serious shots and then I let them do some silly shots and I usually have a lot of trouble holding the camera still and not laughing while I'm shooting their silliness!  Here is one of my favorite shots from the shoot.  It was so sweet to see how close these guys are with each other.

Corporate Headshot Studio Shoot - Rockland, Maine

Yesterday I did a headshot for a local businessman that came our really well.  I was able to do some experimenting with photoshop in the "nip and tuck" department with the photo and I'm VERY pleased with how it turned out.  I definitely feel that it is very important for a business person or anyone who is representing themselves or their business online have a strong professional looking picture done.  The picture should be updated every 6 months to a year to keep your image fresh.  Here is the best shot of the day!

Dennison/York Family Studio Shoot - Rockland, Maine

Today I did a back to back family shoot in the studio.  It was the biggest group of people I have photographed yet!  Definitely a challenge!  A big thank you to everyone for being so patient during the process.  I see every shoot as a learning experience and today was definintely a big one for me.  It's great when I have such understanding clients with huge amounts of patience themselves.  I got some great shots that I am really happy with.  These two little cuties were my two favorite shots of the day!

Dyer Newborn Studio Shoot - Rockland, Maine

Today I had the pleasure of photographing one of the sweetest newborns I've ever met! (with the exception of my own boys when they were that age of course) ;)  This little guy is only 6 weeks old and was SO good for me.  He only cried a couple of times during the entire shoot.  I got some great shots and couldn't resist getting a few of his tiny feet and toes!  Here are a few of my favorites =)

Anderson Studio Shoot - Rockland, Maine

Today I had the pleasure of photographing a very beautiful young lady.  I made good use of all of my available backgrounds and she did 3 different outfits changes!  We did a TON of pictures and she was such a trooper and never complained once.  I decided to ditch my tripod and get mobile and it was the best choice I made.  A big thank you to her Mom and Grandmom who helped to make her giggle for me.  They had some great ideas for poses too!  I am ALWAYS open to suggestion on poses.  So here is a little sneak peak of  some of my fav shots from today!

Appleton Wildcats vs.Thomaston Clippers Boys Basketball

Friday I was invited to attend my nephew's basketball game and just for kicks I thought I would try my eye at shooting the game.  I used to play when I was in school...so I know how to follow the game.  I had a BLAST photographing it!! I didn't realize just how much I miss playing.  I'm going to try and get involved in a local adult team and get playing again.  Bad knee and all!  So if anyone knows of a good team to get in on...let me know!  My hat goes off to all those sports photographers out there.  DEFINITELY the hardest shooting I've ever had to do.  I thought shooting weddings was a challenge!  I took a TON of pictures at the game and these that I am posting on here are the best...and they really aren't the best in my book.  Not bad for a first try I guess though =)  I'll have to do some research to see how I can do better next time.  So anyways....Thomaston won with a score of 65-45.  I wasn't at all impressed with a lot of the ref's calls though.  They called SO MANY fowls on Appleton that were not legit and didn't bother when Thomaston was fowling them like crazy.  PFFFFT!  It was definitely the most intense middle school game I've been to!
